THE FRANK VISCEGLIA FAMILY

This year, the New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP is recognizing the Frank Visceglia Family as a Lifetime Achievement honoree for its significant contributions to our Chapter and for its achievements in the industrial real estate industry.
The Frank Visceglia family’s company is Federal Business Centers (FBC), a real estate development company and a major developer of the Raritan Center Business Park®. Established as a family business in 1938, FBC is still growing under the leadership of the second and third generations of the Frank Visceglia Family. As a two-time NAIOP award winner, FBC was previously honored with the Developer of the Year Award in 1988 and the Impact Award in 2002. When asked about the company’s longevity, family members and coworkers credit a team environment and a long-established commitment to loyal, long-term relationships. As NAIOP colleague Murray Weil once said, “This business is really people, people, people.” FBC’s commitment to long-term relationships is well exemplified by its long history of service with NAIOP. FBC’s founder, Frank Visceglia (1914–2008), was also a founding member of our New Jersey Chapter. During his many years as an NAIOP member, Frank served as Trustee and as President. He has been honored twice as an NAIOP founder. Following in his father’s footsteps, Frank D. Visceglia (1942–1991) served as President of our Chapter and also as President of NAIOP National. He has also been previously honored by both our Chapter and NAIOP National. As National President, Frank expressed his belief in the power of all of our members working together: “In these times of mounting public concerns, the voice of NAIOP is needed more than ever. The larger our numbers, the stronger our voice will be. It has been proven countless times: together we can accomplish more than any individual can ever hope to.” Today, Frank Visceglia’s son Peter, along with grand-children Frank and Nicole, are continuing the family tradition of service to NAIOP, serving as officers and trustees. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes all three generations of the Frank Visceglia Family. Speaking on behalf of his family and coworkers, Peter Visceglia says, “We’re deeply grateful to receive this special award from NAIOP, and we’re so proud to serve as members of such a great organization.” |
